Can you drive after eye dilation?
Most people do feel comfortable to drive after their pupils have been dilated. However, if you have never had your pupils dilated before (and therefore don’t know if you will feel safe or not), we recommend that you bring a driver or arrange for someone to pick you up after your exam.
What can you not do after having your eyes dilated?
Your vision will be blurred and more sensitive to light from the dilating eye drops, so driving is one of the things you should avoid. Besides putting other drivers and yourself at risk, you can also risk causing permanent damage to your retinas from UV exposure.
How long does it take dilated eyes to go back to normal?

The truth is that length of time can vary from 45 minutes for one lucky person, to all day long for another, and occasionally even into the next day.
Why do they numb your eyes before dilating?
What Is Dilation? To dilate your eyes, your eye doctor will use special eye drops that cause the pupils, or the black part in the middle of your eye, to become larger.
